Hutch Luck

I was so lucky to find this hutch. It has a story too, It started out as my husbands grandmothers that she had purchased in the 60's she got tired of the plain wood in the 90's and decided to paint it white, It looked good until she put the clear coat on. It had turned a yellow color. She was gonna throw it away and then my mother-in law took it and she just painted it white again. My mother-in law then grew sick of the white hutch when she had purchased a new kitchen set and put it out side. One day I was over there and asked he if I could have it and no one had faith in me to fix it back up. When I got this hutch it looked trashed it was all dirty and weathered and the wood looked like it had split in alot of places. But nope it was just the paint bubbling and cracking, Here are my pics.

Well I couldent find a before picture. So here is after I started it. I was almost done sanding.

Here is after, I love it I just need some glass for the upper doors.

Found a Way cute blog for ideas

http://trash2treasure.wordpress.com/

From old Table legs you can make some cut candle pillars, That's what i'm doing right now I bought a whole bunch of them and am making a boat load off of them.

For frames I am always at the DI its a consignment store here in Utah its just like a good will or Salvation Army. As long as your not looking to do wood frames I always buy these and just paint them. You can get wood frames there but there always all scratched up.

I love this kind of stuff, do you see that first one? I was at the DI and I found that same trinket that is on top and then they just glued it to that candle holder. I wounder where i can find little nick knacks like this.

Saint Patties Day's Crafts

Well today is the day that I have made my own Blog. The reason I have made this blog is just because I am bored at home with nothing to do and thought it would be fun. I know I love sitting here looking at other peoples crafts they do to get ideas.
I really don’t know what to Wright about in a blog except Crafts. That’s about the only thing I really like to do ask my friends they all call me a grandma. Any way’s I will fist start off with my Saint Patties Day's crafts I have done not much to say really they kept me busy for a day and well there Green.

This one is my Favorite I love these signs!

I just remembered that the hook that the sign is hanging on is a FAKE...I made that from an old little pumpkin Halloween decor post and a Curtin rod from the dollar store. I was short on money but I really wanted to finish this project.

I don’t know what you would call this its just a little post with a dowel coming out of it.

Then you just put the curtin rod on the poll but take the one end off.
Then you Have it WahLa!!!
Here’s my leprecon Hat I made also.
Well I guess that’s all I have for you tonight its the weekend and hopefully I can keep my self occupied this weekend. Lets see what else I can come up with.
Talk to you all tomorrow if there is anyone reading this.
